This trash rake cleaning machine's specially developed cleaning rake is constructed in a way that allows for the water to back up in the upper area of the intake screen through the a decreased speed. The debris is removed downstream without the help of a flushing pump via the surge of the "overstow" and the suction from an open flush sluice at the end of the flushing channel.

 

The raking system makes it possible for the fish to swim downstream over the overflowing flushing channel and the Dotations opening.
