The hydraulic steel structure division has been around since 1960.

1960 - 1979

Manufacturing and assembly of the trash rake cleaning machine for our own hydropower plant and OKA power plant (known today as Energie AG).

In addition to the OKA, numerous small hydropower plant operators are clients of the BRAUN company.

1980 – 1989

Essential expansion of our product range for the hydraulic steel structures division to become a full-service provider for run-of-the-river power plants and storage power plants, including regulation and control technology.

Delivery of all Austrian and a few German electric supply companies such as OKA (known today as Energie AG), SAFE (known today as Salzburg AG), TIWAG, EVN, STEWEAG (known today as Verbund), DOKW (known today as Verbund), TKW (known today as Verbund), and many operators of small hydropower plants.

The new field of business developed into a main driver of sales for BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH.

1990 – 1999

Began the revitalization of the hydraulic steel structures, systems in cooling areas and caloric power plants. Delivery of hydraulic steel structures for drinking water systems and flood protection.

Internationalization of the division. Delivery of systems in numerous European countries, Asia, and Africa.

Development of robust telescope trash rake cleaning systems.

2000 – Today

Further internationalization of the hydraulic steel structures.

Delivery to Asia (e.g. Bhutan), Central America, Africa, Middle East ...

Further development of smaller trash rake cleaning machines.

New development of the trash rake cleaning machines in large areas, especially in areas for mobile and rotatable excavators.

Development of the area for fish ascent and descent ladder.
