Pittsboro, IN/USA – BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH supports the bar manufacturer Steel Dynamics, Inc. Engineered Bar Products Division in the step-by-step modernization of the abrasive cut-off machines in their bar mill supplied by a competitor.

As a first step, automatically adjustable gauge beams are supplied, which stop the bar steel layers to cut the desired lengths. The precision of the length tolerance, which is very important to the end customer, is achieved by means of a damping device mounted on the traversing unit.

The new length stops will be delivered by the end of the first quarter of 2024 and then installed and set into operation at site.
