BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH and its Chinese subsidiary, BRAUN Machine Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd., jointly received the final acceptance from SMS Siemag Technologie (Beijing) CO., LTD for a dry chop stroke abrasive cut-off machine, type TS18W, including associated equipment for its end customer Zhejiang JIULI Hi-Tech Metals Co., Ltd.

The cut-off machine, the length positioning system and a revolving head stamping machine were manufactured by BRAUN Maschinenfabrik in Austria, the other peripheral system parts are manufactured by BRAUN Machine Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd. in China. The entire engineering, project management and the assembly and commissioning supervision were carried out by the Austrian parent company BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Vöcklabruck.

In the future, this new cut-off machine will hot cut radially forged steel bars up to a diameter of 500 mm and side lengths of up to 100 x 500 mm or 220 x 220 mm. The initial length of the bars is 3-18m, the finished length is 2-10m. The cut-off machine and associated equipment was delivered in April 2021. The assembly and cold commissioning were successfully carried out by December 2021. The hot commissioning was carried out via remote connection after completion of the customer's forging line. The cut-off machine is running smoothly to the customers fullest content and thus SMS Siemag Technologie (Beijing) CO., LTD issued the final acceptance in August 2022.
