BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH and its Chinese subsidiary, BRAUN Machine Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd., have jointly received another order from a reputable Chinese special steel producer.

FUSHUN SPECIAL STEEL Co., Ltd. has awarded BRAUN with the delivery of the cut-off machine including all auxiliary equipment for the new special melting plant in FUSHUN, Liaoning Province, PR China.

BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH will supply the cut-off machine type TS18W including all hydraulic components, the electrical equipment as well as the entire automation system, a material transport car and the material turning devices. BRAUN Machine Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will supply the complete material handling and transport facilities as well as the chip and scrap removal system.

The entire engineering, project management, assembly and commissioning supervision are carried out by the team of the Austrian headquarter BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Voecklabruck.

With this new cut-off machine, cylindrical and conical remelting electrodes from ESR and VAR production up to a diameter of 950 mm can be cut using the index cutting process. For the first time two newly developed BRAUN technology packages, the cutting wheel profile measurement and the cutting wheel dressing unit to reshape the worn wheel profile (serves to extend the service life of the cutting wheel, which leads in reduced cutting costs) will be included in the delivery.

The BRAUN equipment will be delivered in June 2022. Erection, commissioning and acceptance are scheduled for the third to fourth quarter of 2022.
