The Austrian company BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH and its Chinese subsidiary BRAUN Machine Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd. have even in the hard times of Covid19 received another order from an Chinese rolling mill.

Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd., an enterprise which was founded in 1958 as a state owned enterprise and privatized in 2000 has about 7.000 employees in the facility in Jiyuan.  For the future extension of the productportfolio the owner has decided to buy a used rolling mill elsewehre in China and relocate it to Jiyuan. Lifting the production quality to a new level is the key issue of this the relocation and modernisation therefore BRAUN was awarded with the contract for the delivery of the complete new cutting area.

Apart from two high-performance traverse abrasive cut-off machines of type TS 12 F, suitable for the utilization of cutting wheels with a starting diameter of up to 1,270 mm, all electrical and hydraulical components (supplied by BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH), as well as the complete material handling and transport equipment (supplied by BRAUN Machine Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd.) are included in the contractual scope of supply.

The overall engineering, the erection supervison and the commissioning will be provided by the Austrian headquarters of BRAUN in Vöcklabruck.

With the modernized rolling mill up to 500,000 metric tons of rolled bars with diameters ranging from 12 to 42 mm shall be produced. Delivery of the BRAUN equipment shall take place in April 2021, commissioning and final acceptance are scheduled for the summer 2021.
