BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH and its Chinese subsidiary, BRAUN Machine Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd., have jointly received final acceptance from Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) CO., LTD for two dry traverse abrasive cut-off machines, type TS12F, including all auxiliary equipment.

The cut-off machines were manufactured by BRAUN Maschinenfabrik in Austria and the peripheral system parts were delivered by BRAUN Machine Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd. The entire engineering, project management and the assembly and commissioning supervision were carried out by the Austrian parent company BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Vöcklabruck.

In the future, these new cut-off machines will cut steel bars in layers in the Small Bar Mill (SBM) up to a diameter of 42mm and a length of up to 100m.

The equipment was delivered in two shipments, the 1st shipment being carried out in December 2020 and the 2nd shipment in April 2021. Installation and commissioning were accomplished successfully despite the difficult conditions caused by the Covid19 pandemic. Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) CO., LTD issued the final acceptance on March 25, 2022. After the completion of commissioning and the performance test, the installed cut-off machines are running to the full satisfaction of the customer.
