BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH supports the bar manufacturer GERDAU Monroe Mill, Michigan, USA in the step-by-step modernization of the abrasive cut-off machines in their bar mill supplied by a competitor.

After consulting to improve the overall plant concept, the delivery of a new cutting disc clamping system, the implementation of components for aligning the bar layers on the rolling mill roller table, BRAUN has been awarded for further modernization steps.

Besides improvements on the two existing machines, the order includes the engineering for a new abrasive cut-off machine of type TS16FS, which can be moved stepless in roller table direction and two new length stops.

Based on the engineering data and documents supplied, the decision for the delivery date of the entire equipment supplies and the implementation into the existing line will be made at the beginning of 2022.
