The IACDS awarded the latest development of BRAUN Maschinenfabrik in the field of dismantling. The combination of a wire saw and a cold cutting saw enables the dismantling of a wide variety of materials. BRAUN relies on a modular lightweight construction. This enables easy transport of the components and an application-specific design of the machine. The stationary or mobile machine can be set up with a 3-8 metre inside width and equipped with a wide range of accessories. These include various wire cooling systems, fully automatic wire storages with a capacity of up to 25 meters and lifting devices for components that have already been cut. The machine is largely automated and can be operated via camera if required. The combination of two cutting technologies enables an efficient cutting process. Large components are cut with the wire saw, while tube bundles and vessels are cut with the cold cutting system.
